The City of St. Ignace Recreation Department is always looking for instructors to teach new programs! This is a great opportunity to share your expertise and talents with our community. Is there a program that you wish we had for your child or yourself? Is there a skill you want to share with the community? If so, let us know!

Read on for more information to become a program instructor with the St. Ignace Recreation Department.

General Information

• Payment: Payment is determined prior to the program and is contingent on the number of participants.  

• Facilities: The Recreation Department will ensure the program is will be held at a community location that works best for the program. 

• Proposing a New Program: If you are interested in partnering with the Recreation Department to offer a new program, read the handbook below, complete the application, and drop it off at the Recreation Department office at your convenience. Application forms can be submitted any time of the year. However, please give us adequate time to promote the program before it begins.

• Registration: The Recreation Department will handle participant payment and registration, allowing the instructor to focus on  the planning and execution of the program. 

• Exposure: Your program will be featured on the recreation department website, social media, newspaper, and quarterly newsletter.

• Support: The Recreation Department will work alongside the instructor to ensure the success of the program from beginning to end
